Lydia Is a young jewellrey manufacturer who has been with Ithemba since September 2016. She hails from Pretoria and since leaving university she moved to Johannesburg to follow her dreams through an internship in Rosebank. She was living nearby Eyethu House and was unhappy with her environment and decided to explore another option, when one of her friends heard this they recommended their current building being Eyethu House. She viewed the flat and decided to move immediately move across. Since the move she has never looked back, noting one of the biggest benefits being our two friendly and professional building managers. The security and cleanliness also contributes to her not wanting to leave.
She regularly uses Eyethu’s amenities of soccer court, laundry and braai area and notes that the convenience of Eyethu being so close to malls etc. in Johannesburg is another benefit. When asked what Home Away from Home means to her she explains that since she has left home she now has he own lifestyle being able to live the way in which she chooses however, not neglecting responsibility. Eyethu House has contributed to her growing as a person and succeeding in her daily life. She notes that it is extremely visible that Ithemba cares for its tenants as our staff is always visible and available for assistance.
Lydia is a young vibrant individual who is contributing to the growth of the city and will continue to stay with Ithemba as she feels that we contribute to her growth by providing her with a Home Away from Home.
